The pump works great. However, the seal that comes with this does not fit after messing with it for over two hours. I ended up using the old one. Pump seems to be working fine.

Good for the money

This clock is great for the money. It takes 2 D batteries and is made of all wood. (Thin wood but all wood.) The bird works well and is entertaining. Its NOT for the cuckoo enthusiast as its not mechanical with gears and whatnot and the weights are for looks only. The pendulum dose go back and forth. If your all into cuckoo's then 250.00 to 2,000 is more your range for a "real" cuckoo. But for the money this one is a bargain. I have no regrets. You get what you pay for, and on this clock it exceeded my expectations.
