Acceptable replacement

Replacement springs work, but are not a close copy of the originals. This may be on purpose so that a firing cannon cannot be sold as a complete original, or possibly made so that the spring might work in the Marx machine gun, but that should be noted in the description. They are definitely better than no spring at all.
