Excellent product for what it was designed
I bought an apple tv (2ng gen) because I have an iPad and an iPhone in addition to running iTunes on a mac. Apple makes watching or listening to your content from any of those devices seamless with the apple tv, which is both useful and nice.
It is quiet and much cooler than the previous version which used to create an oven in my entrainment center... Now it is cool as ever.
I cannot think of a different device that does what apple tv does, with iTunes at least. So, in my opinion, it is worth the price. The picture is clear and even streaming HD content comes through very good in quality.
