Needs Latest O.S. to work properly
2 of 2 found this helpful If, like me you have an older Mac that runs Yosemite and can't be upgraded due to tech restraints but is perfectly usable in every other way then this keyboard may not be for you!
Let me explain a little, my 'U' key became increasingly hard to operate with my original wireless keyboard to the point I had to nearly thrash the key to get an input! I'd had enough and decided to get a new wireless Magic Keyboard II. I connected it as instructed but got no on screen prompts or info and no battery level indicator and none of the top row function keys work as they should except the 'esc' and 'eject' key.
All I've done to combat this is to place my Magic keyboard on top of my older one with the top row of keys accessible at the top using the old one as a rest, they both work without conflict and I just charge my Magic one once a month!
Hope this helps!
