Adorable and Sturdy
The only problem I have with it is that I needed a toilet paper holder. This thing is so cute that once I saw it, I couldn't bear to shut it away in the tiny bathroom of my rented apartment, so I'm going to install it as a decorative hook in the living room instead, and now I need to buy something less adorable to put the TP on.

effective but not well tolerated
After one very gentle use, my critter runs and hides under the bed if he sees them

Best of the cheap collapsibles
Telescoping hooks are pretty much all cheap toys, prone to falling apart, and certainly not intended for handling snakes over a couple of feet long. This one has some issues -- I've had several and none of them has telescoped properly. They get stuck and refuse to close. But none has broken or bent even after handling hundreds of snakes. I'm not using them on anybody bigger than a Northern Pacific Rattlesnake. Thiey're not intended for anyone bigger, and would undoubtedly not stand up to a large snake.
