Pompeii Burned Alive
This book provides an easy to read account of the facinating story of the lost city of Pompeii. Wonderful illustrations bring the story to life. It can be used to supplement a study of volcanoes, ancient Roman life or time capsules.
I purchased it to supplement a webquest on volcanoes. Students first read the book, discussed the story before embarking on the webquest. The book put in perspective the dangers of living close to a volcano.
