I TESTED THIS BATTERY = LOW POWER, POSSIBLY DANGEROUS
After charging this new battery for several hours to 100% I tested this battery with the listed capacity of 4300 mAh, but it could only provide a disappointing 1671 mAh, or 38.8% of its rated power. This is a small fraction of its rated power, in fact a li-ion battery is normally considered to have reached its EOL (End Of Life) when its capacity reduces to 80% of its rated capacity. Obviously this battery was well below it EOL rating when I received it.
A couple of other concerning points: The original battery has a rating of 3.8V, 3100 mAh, while the replacement battery came with a rating on the battery of “3.7VDC, 4300 mAh”. As you can see this new battery has the much higher listed capacity of 4300 mAh when compared with the original 3100 mAh rating, while the new battery has a lower nominal voltage rating of 3.7VDC when compared with the original batteries 3.8VDC rating. While more than 98% of all Li-ion batteries produced have a nominal voltage rating of 3.7 volts, that have a maximum charging voltage or 4.2 volts, the original Samsung batteries are a special type of Li-ion battery that are rated with a higher nominal voltage of 3.8 volts, with a higher maximum charging voltage of 4.35 volts. The original special batteries are considered 100%, or fully charged, by the phone when they reach 4.35 volts. Normal Li-ion batteries, with the nominal 3.7 volt rating, are considered fully charged when they reach 4.2 volts and it is considered dangerous to overcharge them above this point.
Remember that your phone is going to charge any battery that you put into it to this higher 4.35VDC. When a Li-ion battery is overcharged it can become dangerous and can possibly cause overheating, fire, or sometimes even these explosions that you have heard of. If these batteries are really just the normal Li-ion battery, with the nominal rating of 3.7VDC, that is only made to be safely charged to 4.2VDC and your phone is charging them to 4.35VDC this could be a dangerous situation.
The original battery with the 3100 mAh capacity weighed 54.6g while the new high capacity 4300 mAh battery weighed in less at 50.7g.
In the end when I explained all of this to the seller and asked them if they would exchange the bad battery that I received with a battery that would provide me with the rated power of 4300 mAh, they quickly refunded me my purchase cost. It doesn’t seem as though they had any batteries with a true full 4300 mAh capacity available to exchange my bad one with.

LOW POWER, I TESTED THIS BATTERY AFTER FULLY CHARGING IT ONLY HAD A CAPACITY OF 1428 mAh OF ITS RATED 3100 mAh, OR 46% OF RATED POWER = DOA
THE BATTERY WAS RATED AT 3100 mAh BUT TESTED TO 1428 mAh. THESE LITHIUM BATTERIES ARE NORMALLY CONSIDERED AT THEIR EOL (END OF LIFE) WHEN THEY DROP BELOW 80% OF THEIR RATED POWER. THIS BATTERY, WHEN IT ARRIVED, AFTER FULLY CHARGING, COULD ONLY HOLD 46% OF ITS RATED POWER. VERY POOR QUALITY CONTROL, IF ANY. OR MINE WAS JUST A DUD???
******************************************PROS: IT DID NOT EXPLODE. THE SHIPPING AND RETURN/REFUND WAS VERY QUICK.

Slower Charger Than Factory Charger, This Charger Is 25% Slower When Compared With The Factory Supplied Charger.
This charger would never go into the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging Mode like my factory charger does. When the battery is hungry for power the factory charger would go into the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging Mode and supply over 10 watt hours of power at 5.4vdc while this new charger would only supply a max of 8 watt hours of power at about 5.2vdc. This means that if the factory charge can fully charge the original 2800mAh, or 10.87 watt hour battery in 1.3 hours it would take this new charger about 1.6 hours to charge the same battery. It is also obvious that when comparing the new charger with my original factory charger that it must be made differently inside because it is considerably lighter. The factory charger weighs 38.7g while the new charger weighs in at 31.2g. Is this genuine Samsung, I don't think so???
I can say that the cable that came with this new charger worked very well with my factory charger and allowed it to charge the phone with full power. The longer length of this cable did make it convenient to use and charge the phone while it was plugged into the charger.
