New Version Grew on Me
3 of 3 found this helpful Well...In the beginning, I thought this version was a travesty! The original version with it's darkness and lurking horror was an absolutely wonderful movie, actually mirroring some factions of society and how women were viewed. But the more I watched this newer version on tv, I saw that it too had something to say but in a different way. And it's so delicious watching Glenn Close play her part and I never get tired of Nicole Kidman's incredible acting skill.

Beautiful
It's a lovely way to tell solicitors that you are not interested and don't want to be bothered.....Purposely got it because it wasn't harsh....Will know if it's working when someone comes to my door to sell me something.
