Great inexpensive way to use C/Y mount lenses on Nikon Z cameras...

Sharpness and reach Vs Contrast
5 of 6 found this helpful Compared to the venerable Canon 70-200 2.8 IS versions I & II, this lens has better image stabilization (you can hand-hold super-sharp shots at 400mm at 160th of a sec and up), is sharper at 100mm, has incredible reach out to 400mm. The 70-200 beats it in contrast and color rendition in low light conditions and in the range around 150-200mm. In low light at 400mm, this lens has vignetting and soft contrast, but what do you expect for a 400mm lens that you can hand-hold? Pretty incredible lens overall. Also note, it close focuses at around 1 meter, which means it functions as a pretty nice macro/portrait lens.
