Don't...just don't.
If this item was priced at more than $3.99...it would be overpriced.

Could Not Be Tested...
This was meant to replace a 25-foot IR cable going from my PACE set-top box in the front room. The cable no longer worked. I ordered a new cable; when it came I tested it out. Still no remote IR. I called Comcast to bring me a new PACE Legacy set-top box. Just a reminder...a PACE Legacy set-top box will run two TVs. An Xfinity set-top box will only run one.
Comcast installed the new set-top box. IR didn't work in the new set-top box. The guy called Comcast...come to find out that in a previous automatic firmware upgrade, Comcast decided through their firnware upgrade that they'd disable the external IR. Well...that's just effin' great. I no longer can control my box from another room, and... I'm out $10 to boot!
Product looks like it'll work just fine, although...I'll probably never find a use for it!

Better Choice Than the Unit's Own Thermostat
Using a common 1400 Watt floor heater each winter I was going through floor heaters every two years at $35 a pop. The problem being...when you set the thermostat it uses contact points as a power on-and-off source. Enough on-and-off contact to these points having room air drafted across them welds them together eventually through arcing.
I was hoping, since this unit has enclosed points, they would last longer. They did. I bought the unit in 2013 and it lasted, before it welded its points together, until the winter of 2018. I'll be buying another one coming this October 2019.
I suggest you buy this unit off of eBay...as their online store will only let you buy two at a time.
