I can see all obstacles in my way
Second time I've used this kit. On my last car, headlight degradation seemed to occur again after about three years; that car was decommissioned for unrelated reasons a short time later. I am skeptical whether a re-application in that case would have improved things---the three-stage sanding process, it would seem, likely removes most of the plastic clearcoat on the headlight surface, and I don't know that the kit's final stage UV Protectant could be considered an apt substitute.
My chief beef is with the automakers and their overlords who dictate the use of the fade-prone plastic over perfectly functional (and non-fade-prone) glass.
As long as those rules must be followed, Sylvania's kit is a laudable workaround.
