Plastic parts

So these are installed on the 2006 Mini Cooper I bought and for some reason the RH side is prone to snapping off and discarding the cover. The whole thing is plastic and seems like it will be a matter of time before this or the left one goes snap and I will have to purchase again. I hope by then someone figures out a stronger/improved desgin. The one I received fit perfectly and works as its supposed to.
