A truly wonderful book on the subject!
This book is great! It's well organized, entertaining, and easy to read. The text is not dense and dry as you might find in a more academic book on the subject. It's loaded with awesome photos of the people, places, record covers, and magazine pages that made this scene. Visually, the book is a treat, but that's not to say it's the least bit light on content. In fact, I was looking for a fairly comprehensive resource for information about 60s French pop and the Ye-Ye scene and this fit that bill perfectly!
You get more than just the Ye-Ye girls here, too, despite the title. The book goes into some of the male artists at the time like Gainsbourg and Dutronc, as well as psych & folk tangents, and follows some of these connections through to modern times. If you're already a 60s French pop know-it-all, you might not get much out of this. For the rest of us, though, don't hesitate to pick this up!

Expensive but great quality
This thing is a little pricey but seems to be pretty good quality and, so far, everything on it works as described. The only thing that would make me hesitate to buy another (or recommend it to someone else) is the price.

You can't go wrong here
These things are fabulous when you need a fairly rugged outdoor notepad that will stand up to wet conditions. They are the only notepads I carry with me on a daily basis. One is always in the car and another is usually in a side pocket. I'm not sure if the 4x6 size would fit in the pack pocket of a typical pair of blue jeans, but I think they also make one size smaller. To me, though, the 4x6 is the perfect size -- not too small but also small enough to be very portable. Definitely recommended.
