Lightweight, and very portable.
I have used this portable hard drive extensively and have not had a bit of problem, It has plenty of storage space but yet is not bulky. It fits easily into my laptop bag and is excellent for storing movies for traveling and the playback is smooth.

Better than VHS, but not quite high definition.
I bought the DVD version of these two productions because I had been really disappointed with the resolution of the VHS versions I had. The DVD versions were slightly better, but not quite high definition. Both of these movies were release in 1987, perhaps the shortcomings of the video resolution weren't noticeable on the TV screens and reproduction equipment existing at that time, but they are really noticeable now. There is a noticeable graininess which I believe is from the source recording because one of the videos pauses at the end and the graininess also pauses. The subject matter of the videos is spectacular and I hope that someday Narada may enhance these recordings so that they will be fully enjoyed on today's large screen high definition TVs.

Easy to use but does not produce quality scans.
2 of 2 found this helpful This device works well mechanically and I found it very easy to scan a huge stack of photos quickly. I was disappointed however, after I scanned all those photos, when I found that the digital images had an extremely high contrast which caused detail in the darker areas of the photos to be lost completely. The device includes a blank sheet which is supposedly used to set the white balance, but it did nothing to improve the quality of the scans. After running into problems with E-bay's inappropriately named "30 day guarantee", which is designed more to protect irresponsible sellers, I ended up sending this scanner back to the manufacturer. I am hoping the manufacturer will be able to repair or replace the unit, because no matter how easy the unit is to use, it is worthless if it is incapable of producing quality scans.
