Compelling

The games PS1 graphics are offputting at first, even when PS1 was my primary system I was hesitant on my first attempt to play this game. Once the story unfolds, companions start being added to your team and the world opens wide in an array of hand drawn backgrounds, in depth cut-screen footages, the game takes a whole new shape. This was around the age of 10 or 12 , now I'm 28 and the game sticks in my memory, playing it again on emulation provoked me to own a physical copy of this nostalgic Legend.

Illustration Gold

The illustrations are what make this a classic, in the way A Nightmare Before Christmas is classic. The writing is not bad either, but it was remebered by me for the illustrative nature.
