Great all-purpose lens. If you could only have one lens pick this one.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a very versatile lens with its 10X zoom. It’s quite sharp at all focal lengths and the Mega OIS is helpful. It’s also small and light. Not having a large, constant aperture it’s not a great low-light lens, but it’s still a great lens for travel where most of your shooting will probably be in good light anyway. Pair it with the 20mm f1.7 and/or 14mm f2.5 and you’ve got all your bases covered without spending a fortune. I don’t think there are many super zooms for larger formats that are as good.

Good not great.
I've used this lens on my Canon SL1 with good results. It focuses quickly, it's quite sharp, distortion is not bothersome, but the chromatic aberration is noticeable in high-contrast areas in corners and borders. I like the manual focus implementation (just pull the ring toward you) and it's quiet and well comstructed. It does have a tiny rubber gasket around the mount, but I don't know how water resistant it is. It's a good value.

Great for tense muscles
I find this especially helpful when my neck or shoulders tighten up, or are sore from exercise. I can apply pressure and loosen things up. I keep one at home and one at work!
