Awesome Ear Protection With Minor Battery Issue On Some Models

I bought these headsets after using the Pro Ears Ultra 33 (similar size) passive ear muffs for approximately one year. I shoot high powered long range rifle and wanted active headsets so I wouldn't have to take my headsets off between shooting relays. The headsets are amazing NRR 30 protection, which is about as good as it gets! I can hear everything going on in the outdoor range, and can comfortably chat with my buddies even when everyone is shooting VERY LOUD large caliber rifles with muzzle breaks (louder). It's an unusual feeling hearing rifle and pistol shots, and everyone at the range, without the damaging sounds - they work! Keep in mind however that these are larger headsets, so if you're not used to larger headsets they can be a problem when shooting rifles. I was used to this size and it was not a problem for me. The lithium batteries on the model I bought do take up a good part of the inside of the ear cups, and they can push on your ear a bit after several hours of shooting. I heard the same model with the N size batteries don't have that problem, but I had already ordered the lithium model when I heard about that. Bottom line, these are the best at ear protection on the market, if you don't mind the larger size. I'd also probably order the model with the N batteries for the reasons I described above. I only give it 4 stars because of the lithium battery issue, otherwise it would be a solid 5 stars.
