KISS perfection
7 of 7 found this helpful "keep it simple, stupid" brilliantly sums up this player. no wifi to mess with, no "smart" features. it just plays discs and does so with excellent quality and a minimum of fuss. just 4 connections: AC power, ethernet (so that you can access firmware updates over the internet and access BD-Live features), optical digital out (optional), and HDMI (be sure to use a high-speed 2.0 or newer-spec'd cable). coming from a finicky samsung player that was slow to load discs and had a user interface and a remote control that only a nuclear engineer could love, this is a godsend. there is a USB connector on the front panel for external media connections but i haven't tried it so far because all of the media i care about is disc based: blu-ray, dvd, and cd, and this box plays them all with ease.
