Who needs to be expecting?
Pregnant or not, these pants are comfortable, stylish, and reasonably priced. The elastic doesn't bind, and the pockets are handy for tissue, credit cards, and other incidentals.

Not Dead Enough
I am so glad I discovered this author and his series of mysteries. I enjoy the side story of the main character's missing wife and the banter between him and his black colleague. The main story lines are about intriguing murder cases and include the murder scenes, autopsy scenes, descriptions of people, places and things involved in these cases. Some have complained about too much detail, but I enjoy the way it lays a provides a clear picture of what is happening, even when it isn't necessary--for me it's gravy and always interesting. I have read three of James' books and plan to read them all.

Not really Paradise
I enjoy the plodding mystery stories in this group. Not a fan of Tom Selleck in his younger years but like him as the laconic, intense, older police chief, who leaves Los Angeles and takes the post in a small town in Massachusetts, where there is more crime than one might expect. I cringe each time he pours a Scotch rocks, which is frequently. He's an admitted alcoholic, and his visits to a shrink, played by a bearded William Devane, are humorous at times. Other supporting cast members include Viola Davis, in an understated role as his colleague (would like to see more of her), his likable sidekick cop nicknamed "Suitcase", played by Kohl Sudduth, and my personal favorites, Boomer, his bloodhound who travels with him cross country to his new job and soon has to be put to sleep due to illness, and Reggie, an Irish Setter/Retriever mix he adopts after finding him sitting next to his murdered owner. There's romance, mystery, and family drama--the whole gamut. The background music is mournful, the scenery is beautiful, dark and cold at times. I plan to buy the rest of the series.
