Code named Ginger
I recently bought a segway I2 and was intrigued to find out more about its development. I was impressed by the ingenuity of Dean Kamen, the inventor of the Segway. The book is very readable and provides behind the scenes history of the inventor and his various inventions. It reveals the triumphs and frustrations along the way to the development of the Segway which was code named project Ginger after Ginger Rogers the dancer.
It is people like Dean Kamen who have impacted this world in a very positive way. He was the first to invent the iv infusion pump, the insulin pump and a wheelchair that can climb over curbs and stairs. The wheelchair was code named Fred, after Fred Astaire, the dancer. Mr. Dean Kamen used the term "Fred Upstairs" for his stair climbing wheelchair. Fred Astaire's dancing partner was Ginger Rogers in many movies. The Segway uses gyro motors to maintain its balance much like Dean Kamen's wheelchair so the name project Ginger was very appropriate.
This book would appeal to anyone who owns a Segway or is intending on purchasing one. It is also a very inspiring book for anyone interested in finding out what makes a person successful and "stand out from the crowd".

IMAX-Africa:The Serengeti(2007m Blu-ray Disc)
I was born in Oldeani which is a small town on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater in the Serengeti. This imax blu-ray dvd is the next best way to see the Serengeti, if one cannot go there in person.
The dvd is a little on the short side and some scenes could have been more comprehensive but apart from that it captures the heart of the Serengeti very well.

Looks fantastic!
1 of 1 found this helpful Followed the instructions and had the work completed without any hitches. Sticks really well on the window. My friends thought that I had changed the window panel! Looks great with subtle rainbow colours. Am going to buy more and finish another window.
