Prevented summer sores
1 of 1 found this helpful My TB chestnut mare has very sensitive skin. Last summer she developed summer sores that would not heal. I decided to try the Cashel Crusader Leg Guards to keep flies off the semi healed sores from last year. They have been very successful by covering her legs below the knee to over the coronet band. They are easy to take on and off. I can either hose them off or machine wash. They are soft enough not to irritate the prior sores and protect her from developing new ones. They also stop the urge to stomp her feet from the flies. These leg guards have been a success and I love not needing to treat and wrap sores all summer!
