This is awesome. Some work required for self install.
Works great. The grass has never looked better. Takes a few hours to install boundary and guide wires. That was the hardest part. It does its thing according to the schedule.

It is an old school locomotive with a new cheaper sound set up.
You actually get a fair value for your money with this locomotive. This locomotive is heavy and is a strong puller.
Now for the cons.
The power pick up is old school split between front and rear engine. Each picks up one rail and not the other. This is archaic for DCC locomotive. It stalls when running over the straight leg of #4 turnouts on the mainline. It also stalls over curved #8 turnouts.
I have not had a new Mantua engine that was 100% acceptable out of the box.

Unique style that fits in with furniture.
This Aquarium makes a nice center piece in my living room. I didn't want my living room to look like a pet store so I went with this unique design.
