solenoid
These solenoids wear out every 2 1/2 to 3 years regardless even when you purchase the original one. This is the second time I have purchased this one from these people. It lasts me the same amount of time and when I replace it fixes the problem and works great. I am considering ordering another one because I know that in a couple years it will need to be done again. They ship fast and are great to deal with. I have no complaints at all. It sure is nice to not have ice shooting out , my freezer getting frost all inside it , and the flapper getting stuck open anymore after I replace this part. Its not that hard to do. Trickiest is to be careful removing the facia surrounding the ice/ water maker so you do not break it. Its usually a combo of double sided tape and clips that hold it on.
