Blows cold, well built, could be improved
It seems like a well made system. It blows cold but there are some downsides to it.
First, the line set is garbage. You may have problems torquing the flare fittings, especially the 3/8 line. I had to cut and reflare it 7 or 8 times before I could get it to about 20 lb. ft. of torque. You should shoot for the lowest torque values the manual specifies, maybe even a few lb. ft. less.
Second, the remote leaves a lot to be desired. It is an infrared remote. The manual for the remote specifies that it must be within 8 meters (about 26 feet) of the head unit for it to work. This is generous as I've found that it must be within about 16 feet for it to work reliably. Because of this the remote and the head unit are often out of synce as to the desired setpoint temperature. If the head unit doesn't beep when you push a button then it probably didn't take the command.
In addition, the "follow me" setting really just seems to be a "show me the temperature where the remote is currently" setting, that's it. It doesn't change any behavior or the setpoint of the head unit.
