Les Miserables movie

I was waiting for Seven Days in May DVD to arrive before reviewing this. I really appreciated Fredric March and Charles Laughton in this version of Les Miserables. Their performances had been indelibly factored into my memory from my viewing it years ago on the internet. I am now pleased to own the DVD movie.

Ballad of a Soldier was a highly enjoyable experience

I truly enjoyed the Ballad of a Soldier, which was, IMO, a wonderful human interest story. It was poignant and touching. Thank you.

Biographical movie

It is an interesting biographical story about the main character, who decided to become a priest rather than a medical doctor. One would heal the body, while the other the soul. I believe he was very effective as a priest, helping people manage their lives through God's eyes, so to speak. His fiance adapted to his change of heart over the objections of her parents, but their two older children, when they were teenagers, had difficulty molding their lives as the children of the town priest. The main character is content with his life's work at the end, having had a life worth living. Thank you.
