Best tone
3 of 3 found this helpful I also have tried most of the options available for precision bass pickups. The top 3 in my humble opinion are:
Fender Custom Shop '62
Lindy Fralin precision standard wound
Fender Precision w/ S1 option
S1 has the most 'oomph', Lindy Fralin is very clear and even levels between the strings however the Custom Shop '62 just nails that perfect Pbass tone. Highly recommended.

1989 Fender jazz bass, American standard
0 of 1 found this helpful Great bass. First thing I did was set the neck relief, action and intonation. Then I installed my 2012 limited edition jazz bass electronics. This bass rocks!!!
