KEF LS50 - Believe it or not, they are not over-hyped
1 of 1 found this helpful Just about every audio mag that has reviewed the LS50s has raved about them. Giant killer, punches above their weight, replaced their reference speakers etc. Sounds a bit inflated but I have them a try. Frankly, I am stunned at just how good these speakers are. Pin point imaging, large sound strange with a solid bottom. I have run them with and without a sub. Sub is not critical but converts them into a true full range speaker. Associated equipment:Halo integrated amp, REL 9 sub, and and Auralic Aires Mini with LPS.

Super-Elmar-m F/3.4 - `Near Perfect Ultra Wide Angle Leica M lens
Stunningly sharp wide open through f/8. Would be “perfect” if were a Summicron (f/2) to allow for a fit of subject/background separation but hey, this is not a portrait lens. Built to last with beautiful image quality.

Late Night Gem
Well recorded-makes for great late night listening.
In many instances I find the alternative versions are more interesting than the version that was released, largely because they have a slower pace and less fussy arrangements that allow the lyrics and vocal to shine more brightly.
The two acoustic versions of Mississippi alone are worth the price of the CD.
