Everything As Advertised
I received the cables a few days after ordering. All 10 were packaged in individual plastic bags. The cables themselves showed no defects in workmanship and the materials seemed to be dent quality. I tested all 10 and they all worked. I've not put these into use yet, so I can't comment about hardiness. But so far, so good.

Full Featured, good quality
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this primarily based on a very detailed review I saw on Amazon for another product. That review claimed this Hauppauge HD PVR 1212 was the best one he has tried out of 3, and better than a professional house.
I connected it easily to my VCR and began playing back a 30 year-old VHS video. The video was excellent, but the audio was horrible until I selected the correct audio source (rear jacks vs. front jacks). After that, the audio was good as well.
I recorded about 10 minutes of the video, then played it back from my computer through the HDMI output to my 55" TV. Naturally, the resolution was not HD, but it was fine. Very little degradation, if any, from the original. This is my solution for digitizing my 25 years of analog videos. I'm very pleased.
But I've only done that one 10-minute video. The unit looks very well made, so I don't expect much trouble.

Great features and quality for this low price.
The product came in timely manner, and worked. While these preamps aren't rated as highly as Focusrite, they are still very good. Plus, you get 16 total channels, and the app that comes with it is pretty useful in setting up the device, and ensuring your firmware is up to date. All this for well under $300. I'm very pleased, though I haven't used it a lot yet.
