Better than using string
I bought this to use on a curved shaft gas trimmer. It is a Chinese made model I bought at a discount store. Although the manufacturer’s manual prohibits attachments other than the included string spool, the Orbitrim isn’t overly heavy and doesn’t seem to strain the trimmer except when cutting thick plants (which would also happen when using nylon string.) I appreciate that this Orbitrim is well made, stated to be an improved version. It appears to work well enough to keep my small front lawn mowed. I don’t know how long it lasts, and I doubt I can easily sharpen the blades.
My trimmer has a threaded end, so I just needed the washer and an included nut to install the Orbitrim. However the receptacle is too deep to keep the nut in with a finger and not wide enough to use a socket. I used the included spacer to hold the nut in place and turn the rim of the Orbitrim with one hand in while holding the shaft with the other hand, but the first time I used it, the Orbitrim came off. It hasn’t come off thus far the second time. I definitely am observing all clothing and protective gear recommendations to limit the chance of injuries if it flies off again.
Since the blades cut more finely than string, the guard is messier to clean afterwards.
Also, if you use the Orbitrim near concrete walls or chain link or metal fences, it will generate sparks because it is made of steel. This may require precautions when there’s danger of brush fire.

Good for remote broadcast in a building
Using this in a church setting for broadcast to another location and attaching a computer speaker to the receiver. The omni-directional mike picks up well (to about 2 feet). Easy to set-up and operate.

Definite improvement from the iPhone 5
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this because my iPhone 5's battery life was coming to its end and my carrier called to tell me that LTE wasn't enabled on it even I had set it up to. It's definitely faster, LTE works and it has additional features such as using a fingerprint to unlock it and to act as a password on certain apps. The battery life is variable, definitely temperature dependent, though it improved somewhat by shutting off background access on most apps. I dislike that, after updates, background access is often turned on. I like the small form factor so I can carry it on my belt. Some iOS 11 features I can use now weren't accessible on the iPhone 5.
