I really wanted to like this
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this to be a new home for my Amazon Sailfin (Pterygoplichthys pardalis) sometimes called a Pleco. I love my fish, I wanted her to have a new home since she outgrew her old log. The product itself looks good, but when you flip it over there were a lot of sharp edges. There were tiny bits of dried glue on a couple of places on the inside of the log that looked like it would not be safe for the fish. Not only that, but the log itself was too small for the fish.

Outstanding stuff! Works really well at managing tanks that are heavily stocked. Works as advertised. I think this would be a good way to help establish a biological filter quickly, though I am not an expert. Added it to a heavily stocked tanked as directed. About 6 hours later, there was no waste in my tank that was visible.
