Replacing one after 10 years of use
The cone-shaped jar opener is the best. I've had my hand surgically reattached and with this thing, I've only ever had one jar I couldn't get into. Love the coney thing.

Great book
I bought this book because my best friend is a history buff and my school seemed to think the world was created during the Vietnam War. This book describes various eras in American history and profiles a community from each era. It provides a social and political context for the changes that led to each era, so you not only understand, for example, who the Wobblies were, you understand why they came to be and how they influenced the world you live in today. This wasn't like reading a school textbook, it was truly interesting. This was my second copy--I bought it for my dad's birthday.

Great alternative to baby yarn
I bought a few skeins from a store and wasn't able to get more, after I'd started the baby blanket I was making with it. I was so grateful to find more on eBay. It's as soft as baby yarn without being annoyingly thin and hard to work with. You actually see progress on your work from day to day.
