An excellent negative scanner

I was a little uncertain when I went for this scanner, fearing I might have difficulty mastering the software which goes with it. However after some experimenting I found the SilverFast software more flexible and easy to use than I had feared. The scanner itself has excellent resolution, up to 7200 DPI, but it is necessary to get to grips with SilverFast in order to obtain the best results from it. Negative loading is comfortable and easy. Pre-scanning is rapid. A full scan at maximum resolution is slow, but not prohibitively so. Altogether I have found this bundle (scanner plus software) very good value for money.
