Good clean family movie!
My four-year-old son loves this movie! It shows great family values, but also deals with what happens when a parent passes away (spoiler!). We are very careful what we allow him to watch, and I did not hear one swear word of any kind in it. Such a fun movie...now my son will only refer to cheetahs as "Dumas" :) I highly recommend.

Understandable and Fun Science for all Ages!
Truth is, I've never personally read this book. But my son, who is 10 years old, begged for it for the longest time after reading Amy Stewarts' previous book Wicked Plants, followed by Wicked Bugs. He is fascinated with all her writings and has read and reread all of the books more times than I honestly could guess at. The Earth Moved has been a terrific continuation of Stewart's incredible writing style, infused with fun and understandable science. Since finishing The Earth Moved, my son has taken up the task of creating a compost pile to care for the glorious creatures known as earthworms and fills us in regularly on all the details concerning the process.
Simply based on my son's experience, I would highly recommend this book, both for adult readers (which I believe is the intended audience), but also for tweens and teens. It creates both amazement at the intricacies of the environment and concern to protect the earths tiny, overlooked, useful creatures.
