Caran D'Ache Mechanical Pencil
It's just the right size and shaped to handle well (just like the pencil it is named after).

Caran d'Ache
The thin hexagonal shaft coupled with the correct finish makes this pen (or pencil; they make pencils of the same design) a pleasure to use. It doesn't slip in your fingers. If you like the feel of a traditional pencil, then a Caran d'Ache pen or pencil is for you.

Adam Equipment counter-weights
These counter weights are a less expensive alternative to the original ones I needed for my used Ohaus 700 series balance. They are close enough to the weight stated on the top (within 0.1 grams according to my balance) for my purposes, and they extend the range of my balance to about 2.6 kg. The hangers at the top of the weights are steel, as are the bases, but the bodies are non-magnetic, and appear to be an aluminum based metal. Overall, I am very pleased with them.
