DUNE HD Pro 4K Network media player with 4Kp60, HDR, BT.2020, HDMI 2.0a HEVC

My Dune Pro 4K did not work as well as the older Solo 4K. Needs Firmware updates.

I have and use a Dune Solo 4K and it works great but this new model from my trials is not ready for prime time. Maybe after a few firmware updates it will work better. The Dune HD Pro 4k would not display 3D movies in 3D, would not recognize my Network Attached Storage (NAS), would not read some Blu-Ray Folder menus, and several other software bugs were observed. Also this new model cannot create a wifi hot spot like the Solo 4K can. On the plus side it did operate a little faster and the functions that did work, worked well. Also the case appears to be made out of metal instead of plastic which is a good thing. If Dune can fix all the bugs that I experienced in the Pro 4k, then I would rate this model much higher.

Works great

Using this drive in an external case powered by a Mac Mini Server. At first I thought it was noisy but after adding a little duct tape along the bottom of the drive to reduce metal to metal vibration, it quited down considerably. Using this drive as part of a video server system. During reads, an occasional small click can be heard if the room is totally quiet but of course in a home theater that is almost never the case. The movie sound track is much louder than any drive noise. Have only had this drive for a couple of weeks but it is working great!

Great Tunes From David Benoit

If you like David Benoit, you will love this disc! My favorite is Kei's Song on track #7. The other songs are great too, but I bought the disc just for this song and am glad I did.
