Better webcam than camera
2 of 2 found this helpful This little camera was produced for double duty as both a digital camera and a WebCam. It works flawlessly as a webcam, however as a camera it leaves a lot to be desired. Although it does take pictures and short videos with sound, its picture quality can not compete with other discount digital cameras on the market. The battery door compartment has weak hinges and has a habit of breaking. The camera does not have a zoom feature nor does it have a picture preview. Set at the standard setting, the camera will hold 190 pictures, but you will need a computer with the software installed to view or download the pictures from the camera. As a webcam I'd rate it a 4/5, but as a digital camera I'd have to rate it a 2/5. Overall, it would be great first camera/webcam for someone starting out or a pre-teen.

Best for active lifestyle use or children. Best bang for the buck.
The first generation I Pod touch was the easiest to use and the best design. Now with current pricing for the first generation, this is the best music and video personal device on the market. Spend the money on the newest for status, but the bugs and problems aren't worth the hassle of status if you want function. WiFi and connectivity without an issue, but some of the new apps on the market aren't support by the first generation models. Still if you are active, then this is the device you want since the I Pod is by nature delicate and will break.

Great beginner's camera
2 of 2 found this helpful The camera has a sturdy design that has taken some moderate abuse. The camera does not have a zoom feature, but does have a display to see the picture before saving it. This camera is a battery hog, so you will definately want to get the rechargeable batteries or you'll go bankrupt. the camera will accept several different size memory cards and will format the card prior to use. The picture quality is better than most other cameras with the same megapixels on the market. Overall, get this camera to practice taking pictures and then give it your teens for their use and abuse.
