Help Us Losers!
This is my 3rd Fitbit One. I love it. I keep losing them. I've worn them as recommended and the clip has slipped. I've pinned it and it popped out of the holder. I've actually lost it more but have been fortunate to recover them--once even the next day on a street in New York City! It would be great to have better ability to identify the owner using a longer customized greeting message (current one cannot even hold a complete phone number!). I'm figuring out some kind of better holster system for my new one to eliminate the pop-out problem and contain contact/reward information.
I also use a Fitbit Surge but I compete with others on weekly steps--Surge doesn't help us cyclists in a step contest. I have an Aria also. The supporting web application is pretty good integrating all of these devices. It is a little difficult to navigate if you don't use it often, but good for building communities for fun competitions.

Great Except for One Thing
My prior watchband was a mess. I was so glad to see a replacement band along with the tool to make the change. The change was very intuitive except for one thing--the buckle. Didn't know how to transfer the buckle from the old band to the new one. It has a spring but it just was not obvious.
The new band looks great, feels great. Colleagues think I finally abandoned my cheap ways and bought a new Surge. Nope, I'm still cheap. Just smart.

A Refurbished Unit is a Good Value.
It is pretty good. The heat control button does not work so well, i.e. my first attempts to select the heat setting (done by pressing the silver button until the desired temp is selected) were complete failures. I pressed the button and nothing happened. I tried plugging it in to different outlets. I discovered in a fit of desperation before throwing the unit back into the box and shipping it back that if I press the button and wiggle it a little bit that it works fine. As this was a refurbished product and low price I am more forgiving.
I do not have a laser printer so I used my Cricut to cut my design onto self stick shipping labels. I placed the cut label sticky side up on a scrap card, then placed the foil very lightly on top of it to avoid wrinkles. I foiled at 0--basically using the machine to evenly press the foil onto the label. The foiling was completely smooth and looked great.
