HP Pavillion DV-6 Replacement Keyboard
The original keyboard in a friend's old HP Pavilion DV-6 notebook computer finally quit working after about 7 years of continuous use. Rather than junk the computer (which he really likes for nostalgic reasons); I recommended we just invest the ~$16 or so that the new OEM keyboard cost on Ebay.
For those unfamiliar with the term "OEM"...it means Original Equipment Manufacturer. The keyboard we purchased on Ebay was apparently just that; not a copy or "knockoff" product. I always like to stick with OEM replacement parts when I can get them at a good price. Doing so guarantees a proper fit and 100% functionality in the equipment being repaired.
Assembly/disassembly (service manual) info for many computers is widely available on the Internet, for free in many cases. Although not the simplest computer to work on, the DV-6 is amenable to repairs of all sorts as long as one follows the service manual instructions. We actually completely stripped his computer down to the motherboard, to reapply fresh heatsink compound to the processor/bridge chips, completely clean out the fans and heat radiators, etc. Had we not done all of that, it wouldn't have taken us much longer than about 30 minutes to remove the old keyboard and replace it with the new one purchased on Ebay.
That old computer is now 100% functional once again and it's back in daily service. Too bad so many dependable, readily-repairable computers get ground up for scrap or wind up in landfills just because their owners decide to toss them after something that's easily and cheaply replaced (such as a keyboard) quits working. The ~$16 cost of the replacement keyboard was a bargain in this instance. It kept an otherwise-good notebook out of the junk heap.

Etymotic ER-4P
Several years ago, I gave my original pair of Etymotic ER-4P's away to one of my sons after he fell in love with them. I have "better" (fancier, multidriver) IEM's and since he wanted the ER-4P's so much; I just gave them to him.
Almost immediately, I started missing them. I like bright-sounding IEM's without excessive or over-done bass and the ER-4P's suited my tastes in these areas. They also possess a certain transparency and transient response characteristic that my other IEM's just don't.
This particular pair that I won on Ebay are apparently refurbs, but they might as well have been new units. They came in a factory case with all of the accessories and paperwork. I didn't have my original pair to compare them against, but I definitely like them as much as the first set I gave my son. So, if you can pick a set of these up (used or refurbs) at a price that's to your liking; I recommend them highly.

TDA2003 Ten Pack
I originally wrote a rather detailed review of this package of parts but (naturally), the Ebay robot apparently hung up while posting and I lost all of that.
Anyway, this ten-pack of TDA2003's is a real bargain compared to any other offers for this part I could find. I only needed one but in all cases, a single part from other sources was several times as expensive as the per-piece price on this pack. (The NTE version is about TWENTY times as expensive!!!!) The replacement part I installed from this pack of ten brought my Drake R8 receiver back to life. I can use the remaining nine to build utility audio amps and still have a couple left over in the unlikely event I ever have to repair another radio.
So, I can't recommend this particular deal highly enough. It got here quickly and the parts were packaged in a real antistatic bag.
