It is the same size as my 4.0 and have yet to see if it lives up to 8.0. However, it does fit in and works in both the charger and my craftsman tools.

Easy to understand controls combined with a computerized stitch option allows for a precise sewing pleasure.
The Good: Settling in to sewing with the Quantum and accessories provides easy choice of stitch with its computerized stitch memory. The machine performs well and can handle a double needle for those special occasions. Using the up and down needle setting allows for quicker threading of needle and settling of material. Easy to load bobbin compartment and quick foot replacement provides little down time from your sewing project. The Bad: Bobbin area gathers above average frayed string and with low needle ceiling makes it difficult to clean deep in the bobbin area.
