Decent knock-off
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a knock-off of the Smiths Little Torch. The torch body is fine; I haven't tried using OEM tips to see if they fit. The tips that are included are acceptable. The #1 tip has no comparable tip from Smiths; the bore actually measures around .0135" (#80 drill) which is between a #3 and #4 from Smiths. The #2 measures .0160" (#78 drill) which is around a #4 Smiths tip. The #3 measures .0195" (#77 drill) which is very close to the Smiths #4. The #4 and #5 tips compare to the Smiths tips. The Smiths kit comes with #3,#4,#5,#6,#7 tips but I don't expect to be burning anything that big that I need the #6 and #7 tips. So, I'm happy with it and will buy the Smiths tips if I need a finer flame. The adjustment knobs are a bit stiff and I'm hoping they will loosen up with use but they are controllable and will work fine.

Must have for fireplace
My gas log kit came with Robershaw 710-501 gas control valve. Once we had the logs installed,
the flame was much too high for our small fireplace.
The valve comes set to 3.5" W.C.; the 1751-005 Add-on regulator allows you to dial that down to 1.7" W.C. This is a much better "fit" for our fireplace as the flames remain well below the damper
and give a nice effect.
The price is a bit high for a relatively simple item, but it well made. I don't expect to ever have to mess with it again and will soon forget what I paid for it.
I definitely recommend it; took me a while to research the problem and figure out what to do, but once I did, the installation was a snap and it did the trick.

Think of it as a controller
This is basically a controller for more powerful, external flash units and does the job just fine.
