Produced for only two seasons, this is an excellent program - not the usual cops-and-robbers. Great scenery, great acting, terrific plot work.as

Doc Martin - one of the best, in my view
This is a highly entertaining series and now have all of the DVDs, including the two TV movies that preceded the television show.
The scenery is breathtaking, the stories are highly entertaining and quirky, with unusual characters -- to say the least.
Although sub-story lines run through the series, along with the continuing main story, they do not confuse or detract from the any of the shows. Watching the whole series, however, is made additionally worthwhile by remembering some of the sub-plots, which surface later.
Lastly, I thoroughly enjoy watching the Special Features section, which provides some good backgrounding on the characters, locales and story lines.
Highly recommended!

A bit of all right
1 of 1 found this helpful The Doctor Blake Mysteries are among the most entertaining programs I have ever seen.
The characters are super, believable in all respects -- with a mixture of serious, humorous and realistic.
The settings, props and atmosphere really work, too.
Storylines are interesting, timely to the period while at the same time relevant today.
I look forward to seeing more in this wonderful series which, as my title notes, is a bit of all right.
