These are great working remote switches....
These are great working remote switches. They have a real mechanical relay inside with thick, double-layer circuit board tracings, and can probably handle more current than they're rated for. The two-way telemetry with MyQ is great for indicating the status of a switch. Annoyingly, they're too wide to fit more than two at a time on a single standard 6-outlet power strip. They can be spaced no closer than 3" center-to-center laterally.

Mediocre tool at a high price.
The good:
The handle appears very nice. Time will tell if it lasts, though I don't forsee myself using this tool enough to ever find out. The spring opening action is good, and I like the way the spring is tucked away. Although the spring could be a little stronger, this is subjective, and it's adequate. The chromed finish looks good.
The bad:
The chrome finish is thin and the base material is soft. The malleability of the steel turned out to be a good thing because the jaws were misaligned laterally, and also had a large gap between the cutting edges. Unfortunately, putting force on the tool to bend it into shape also damaged the chrome. The finish work of the steel is poor, with sharp edges, tooling marks, and even a few burrs! ...and because it's chromed, it can't be dressed without ruining the finish. The actual cutting edges are dull too, which also can't be corrected without ruining the finish. To continue with the list of faults, the threads for depth-setting screw have a low tolerance so it wobbles and doesn't give consistent results. Worse, the jam-nut threads are crooked! Like, really, really crooked! Because the nut is crooked and the screw threads are loose, setting the right depth is near impossible.
If it wasn't for the precision labeling on the handles, and good molding quality of the plastic, I'd swear I got a cheap knock-off. Some things are really nice, but some things are really terrible. This tool should cost no more than ten bucks. I'm hugely disappointed.

Great tool, but probably not as pictured.
First: These are nice bit drivers, but nearly ALL the listings are wrong. The handle is MUCH smaller than is typically shown in the pictures. The images shown are for a different item. I'm not reviewing the merchants, but I'm trying to be clear about what you'll get and what I'm reviewing.
816R = Wera part #05051462001 = large handle (what the image probably shows)
813R = Wera part #05051272001 = small handle (what you'll actually get)
Note that the first two and last three digits are often omitted from the part numbers, so "05051272001" is the same as "051272".
Some online merchants use the part numbers interchangeably, and virtually NONE of them use the correct picture for the small-handle version. The absence of useful dimensions in the listings doesn't help, and it's difficult to cross reference this anywhere. Just be careful to be sure of what you're getting. The large handle version costs more, so that's a clue.
It'd sure be nice if the merchants would fix their listings, especially after customers point out the problem! Maybe eBay could light a fire under them...
Anyway, onto the review of the product:
They're great. The small handle is excellent for manipulating small fasteners quickly and easily. The "Rapidaptor" bit holder is pretty excellent. It's easy and intuitive to use, compact for its strength, holds strongly, and has an effective magnet. The magnet isn't the strongest I've seen, but it's close - and waaay better than the cheap ones. Swapping bits is so simple that you may find yourself reaching for this tool a little more often because it's not a hassle to use. I probably wouldn't recommend these for a greasy, dirty working environment, but you'd probably not have much use for it under those conditions anyway.
Overall, it costs about double what a cheap version would, but performs like a product that would cost twice as much. Definitely not a throwaway tool, but it wouldn't sting too much if you lost it - other than the fact that you'd probably miss having it until you got another one.
If you want a small-handled tool, I'd recommend this. If you're looking for a more conventional bit-holding screwdriver, I'd suggest the Wera part number 051462 (816R) or 051482 (817R) instead; their handles are the size of a typical screwdriver.
