So good I bought a second one!
1 of 1 found this helpful I commute by bicycle year round, store my bikes in the garage, and use the garage door because it is the easiest way in and out. My original garage door opener was big, bulky, and was easy to set off accidentally when carried in my pocket.
This little item is no bigger than your average modern car fob, fits nicely into my pocket, and doesn’t go off by accident. I should have searched for something like this years ago!
My garage door opener is an old Craftsman and is still going strong. However, it has nine DIP switches and it isn’t easy or cheap to find replacement remotes. Not only does this little fob remote work perfectly for my needs, the unit is so reasonably priced that I bought a second one for my wife: two of these little remotes cost about the same as one big replacement remote I bought 16 years ago!

Nice Rack!
1 of 1 found this helpful I have a commuter that I love and needed a better basket than the flimsy one it came with. I considered a wald basket that would have been bigger (to carry more) but went with the State Basket for aesthetic reasons. The basket is adjustable enough to work on bikes with 700c or 27" wheels and with quick-release or solid axles. I have QR axles and it works fine. Even with fenders I have plenty of clearance. I would not recommend this on bikes with 27.5/650b or 26" wheels - the height is not adjustable and would be too tall for them.
The one cheesy part is the cup holder. I commute over a gravel section of road and a cup would bounce right out without something to restrain it. I use a short bungee to lash the cup down or simply as a wedge between the cup and the metal holder. I'm not sure how long the cup holder will last; it takes up space in the rack and I rarely use it. I may take a sawzall too it...
The basket IS heavy (about 2 lbs) so be prepared for that. My bike is already heavy so it doesn't really matter - I'm now at 40 lbs. I'm not climbing l'Alpe d'Huez on this beast. However, it sits solidly in place, something I couldn't say about the previous front basket I had. It does the job nicely.
Another thing to be prepared for is a bit more wheel flop. If you have never had a front rack on a bike, this will change the steering feeling a bit and you will need to be a tad more careful when using a kickstand or propping your bike against a wall - even when unloaded. It doesn't bother me at all, it's just something to be aware of. Some people get a wheel stabilizer to prevent the flopping effect, Velo Orange makes a decent, low-priced model.
It's a decent product at a decent price and I would buy it again.

So much better
Better than anything else out there. Replaced stock Tektro pads and the difference is night and day. From not being able to lock the wheels to skidding nicely (though that's not how I brake in real life).
