Top quality matched pair.
I wanted to replace the tired old pair of EL84 valves in my radio where they had to be matched within 2 mA of anode current.
I was a little bit sceptical as they looked identical and I hoped they would be electrically identical too.
When they arrived I had them checked on an AVO valve characteristic meter and to my amazement, they were top quality and were indeed exceptionally well matched and I was highly delighted with my purchase. I recommend these valves as top quality.

US mains lead to "kettle " plug.
A good strong lead that's well up to the job. I was surprised to find it was a flat cable with the 3 conductors side by side and not a circular cable.

Servisol Super 10 works wonders
3 of 3 found this helpful I've always been a bit sceptical about switch cleaner sprays but this stuff is magic on volume controls as well as switches. I've just restored a 1958 Pye radiogram and all the controls were extremely noisy. In fact noisy doesn't really describe the result of touching any of the controls as the crackling was so loud and sometimes you would hit a dead spot. I gave all the controls a squirt of Servisol Super 10 and it was as though the controls had all been replaced with brand new ones.
They were as smooth as silk. Absolutely wonderful stuff and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
