A Christmas Story (1999, VHS)

I bought The dvd A Christmas Story to add to our christmas library. We have a stack of movies we always pull out at that time of year and watch over again, it's become a tradition! A Christmas Story is a wonderful story about when Christmas wasn't quite so "commercial". Ralphie's dearest wish is for the Red Rider BB gun even though all he hears is that precaution that anyone who has ever seen this story will also never forget :" You'll shoot your eye out Kid!". I love the segment when Ralphie has finally had enough bullying and "thumps" the town bully kid and then gets his own mouth washed out with soap for his cursing. Effective!! Everyone can relate this family christmas in some way. You'll find something, from Ralphie's school days, or memory of old fashioned family christmas, the awful "Auntie So- In - So" gifts which you must model for everyone, or even remember Ralphie's joy in getting that perfect gift that you barely dare to hope for, in this christmas tradition movie. After you see Christmas with Ralphie and family, you will want to watch again every year to make your family celebration time complete.
