One tough machine !
The 2003 LC1500 Intruder is my second Suzuki. I've wanted this model since they first came out in the late 1990's. My first is a 1995 1400 Intruder. This bike survived a house fire so intense that the windshield melted down over the handlebars. I was going to scrap the bike, but, to my amazement, found that she still started and ran, better than ever. So I had the bike cleaned up, restored (new tires, checkout, etc). Workmanship, reliability, riding comfort, etc is top shelf. I rate the Intruder Cruisers as better machines than a Harley Road King.
The longer wheelbase, gas gauge, 5-speed trans, and overall styling of the LC1500 is unique. The 1400 is a leaner, "chopper" style bike, faster than the 1500 but not as comfortable.
