Waste of money
I generally enjoy Monoprice products, but this one clearly needs to be pulled from the shelves. It absolutely reeks of a product that was rushed to market to capitalize on the IoT trend.
1. The battery is an odd and expensive size(CR123A). A smarter design could have included a single AA or AAA battery in the same form factor.
2. The instructions leave a lot to be desired.
3. The main gripe is that it just didn't work. After finally getting it paired, it just simply would not trigger a status update to my SmartThings hub.
4. The status options are "open" and "close." In my experience, this is one of the tell-tale signs of a cheap/low quality device. This is an acceptable status for a door/window sensor....but how is this ok for a shock sensor? How can a shock sensor be "open?" They didn't even take the time to change the status labels, what makes you think they actually did any sort of QA or UX testing?
I knew some of these shortcomings before I purchased, but the ones I discovered once I received the product were enough to warrant a return. Very very annoyed and will probably steer clear of MonoPrice home automation products in the future.

Works well w/ RPI
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this to hook a Raspberry Pi up to an old monitor for a Retro Pie build. It worked perfectly first time out of the box. I can't attest to any other use cases, but for me this was exactly what the doctor ordered.

Wrong hardware was included
While this mount is designed for TVs 40" and under, the hardware that came with the mount included bolts that were as thick as my thumb, and lag bolts that didn't even fit through the holes on the base plate. Clearly the wrong bag was thrown in the box. If you buy this, double check that the lag bolts fit through the baseplate before you drill giant holes in your wall.
