Great toy except for the noise!!!
good cheap fun to get younger kids involved in train collection and operating. Great set for around the Christmas tree, although parents will hate you for the constant whistle that cannot be shut off.

usable
although not identical to the original Bommer 7801 I had on my antique door, it was close enough to replace the vintage unit. Had to shave the door another 1/2-inch as this unit is a 1/2-inch taller, but the mechanism is also stronger and should be more reliable over the decades.
