Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG Macro for Nikon-D AF

I love this lens due to its small size and its great focal range. This lens is a great buy for any photographer at any skill level. Though its aperture is not as fast as I or a professional would like, it is still great for every day and travel photos. If you are willing to find a way to stabilize the camera/lens when using the 200-300mm length then it will be perfect for you. I myself would prefer a built-in stabilization motor in the lens and a faster(larger) aperture, I still believe that it is a wonderful lens for general photos. I would buy another if the one I have ever gives out or a new model comes out. This is a great buy.

Excellent Portrait/Standard Lens

I purchased this lens so that I could have a traditional standard 50mm (75mm on 35mm film cameras) lens for my digital SLR. This lens allows me to grab my camera without have to carry all my heavy zoom lenses with me. I appreciate the fast 1.8 aperture that allows me to take great indoor and low-light photographs. The lens focuses very fast when using auto focus and is very easy to focus with manual focus due to the spacing on the guide numbers on the focus ring.
