It's OK and works..... at best. Machining isn't the best and the idle screw adjustment is very finicky.

Protech condenser fan motor
It's a Chinese made motor as are most of the other brands like Emerson and Dayton. A lot of the parts will interchange with those with the same specs.
There is a problem with the 5 wire hookup if you go to a 3 wire configuration. The wires have a different color code. The black goes to black, but that's it. The instructions aren't very good for a DIY swap. There is a schematic but it's not clear enough. If you do it wrong the motor can be ruined. There are electrical symbols to interpret.
Once you have it wired correctly, it's about the same as the rest of them - same armature and casing fit for motors with comparable motor specs. The bearings aren't roller or ball/race, they are steel bushing and should be lubed at the start of each season.

Excellent shoes
I'll be brief. I've bought these a number of times. I wear them heavily and they are just great and not expensive. Fit is perfect. I use the EW which is perfect for me.
Highly recommended.
